Data Centralization due to Recent Acquisition

With the acquisition of Geekie, there arose a need to centralize the brand’s databases with those of the parent company (Arco).

Incompatible Flows and Entities Across Different Databases

The lack of a clear strategy created uncertainty within the team regarding technical effort, maintenance costs, and the risk of losing usability.

I mapped entities across databases and defined how each data flow could be restructured. To ensure alignment, I created a visual blueprint detailing system processes and demonstrating the technical feasibility of data centralization.

This approach minimized rework and fostered close alignment with the development lead — a key factor in the successful integration of our databases and in uncovering new opportunities from day one.

Bringing value to the user

With the databases successfully integrated, we had the opportunity to rethink how educational information was presented — making it more accessible and efficient, and strengthening the connection between schools and families.

Overwhelming report experience

Guided by CSAT feedback, I analyzed existing reports and identified that many parents described the experience as “confusing” and “complex”

Parents had long been asking for clearer and more actionable reports, so we took this opportunity to redesign the existing reports and launch the new Activity Agenda, both developed and refined through user testing and direct feedback from families.
